Since I spend so much time in the kitchen I thought it might be worthwhile to share my favorite kitchen gadgets! I want to say that having the most kitchen toys doesn’t always make you the best chef, but having tools that make you more efficient and creative definitely gets you one step closer.

My current obsession: my new frother. I love coffee and could do a completely different post on that, but for now let’s focus on how amazing a frother is! I bought a hand-held frother from Sur La Table a couple of weeks ago and have really fallen in love with how easy it is to get a cappuccino feel without spending hundreds of dollars.

I purchased a brand called Aerolatte and paid only 20 dollars. I was pretty skeptical at first, especially given the price but after 3 days of using it I knew that the 20 dollars would satisfy what I was looking for. I wanted a frother that would get my milk fluffy without a mess and this works great. I first heat up my milk in the microwave for about 30 seconds and then pour it into my coffee mug. If you prefer you can always pour it after putting your coffee in your mug, but I prefer to have the coffee poured in second.

After pouring in the mug I turn the frother on and make sure to not hit the sides of my mug and focus on frothing the middle until the froth is thick and large. I then pour in my coffee and enjoy a cappuccino I made myself. I will not claim it is a fancy method, but it gets the job done, is quite fun and very inexpensive.

Enjoy!
